Our children are our most precious gift. When are we going to put our resources in use to help our children be healthy, whole and engaged in the real world. As a society our resources are used to provide stuff for adults and their little needs. What is left, we literally have to beg for. The educational system is not working for all children. The gender gap, the achievement gap, just stuff that bring issues and more issues to the table for children to chew on, but it does not bring a healthy lifestyle. Children are not the apple of our eye, they are not our first priority.
